return to Common Problems with Sending and Receiving, table of contents Why do my recipients see the warning "MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from..."?This warning text is generated by MailScanner, an anti-spam filter that may be used by some of your recipients. It only appears when you have checked the "Track delivery statistics" box when sending a message. The warning appears when you have a URL in the title of the link that doesn't match the actual destination of the link. When the "Track delivery statistics" checkbox is turned on, Direct Mail rewrites the destination of any URLs in your message to first point to e3 Servers (so it can record when someone clicks the link) before redirecting the user on to the original URL. This means that the destination of the links in your message will all be changed, resulting in a warning. There is an easy way to fix this. The fix is to not include URLs in the titles of your links. For example, instead of this: Click http://www.mywebsite.com to visit our website use this: Click here to go visit our website. In the second example, the title of the link does not contain any URLs (while the first example does). Since it doesn't contain any URLs, the MailScanner anti-spam software will not show the warning.
